Journey to Becoming a Content Writer
2016: I graduate and get a job taking lecture notes for disabled students. I get paid to be a student again. It's the best job ever!
2018: The government cuts pay for disability services. Obsessed with investing, I get a Master's in Business Management and pursue a career in finance.
2019: I land a job in a large bank, with the unusual role of investigating misselling. I actually give their ill-gotten gains back to the public.
2020: My girlfriend of six years gets her PhD, and her scholarship terms say she must return to Thailand to work. I go with her and teach English at the local university to pay the bills. I co-write a paper called Ensemble Machine Learning Model to Enhance Stock Price Prediction. Catchy!
2022: My wife changes jobs and we move. I quit teaching and send two articles to the popular website Listverse. Both get published. I'm paid $200 and have a new career.
2024: I meet an English expat through Twitter who runs an SEO content agency. He teaches me the tricks of the trade and adds me to his freelance writing team.
2025: While I continue writing for Listverse and the expat SEO agency, I start freelancing for a US-based content agency. Things don't work out. No worries; I cold email dozens of SEO agencies and land some new clients.
Approach to Business
As this site hopefully shows, I value simplicity and directness. That's why you'll find prices listed on the home page. It's why standard jobs are available to order through Fiverr.
My focus is on delivering good writing for my clients. That doesn't require a flashy website or my own domain, so you won't find them here. What you will find is someone who doesn't mess around and will get the job done.
I also value relationships in business. They win out over fickle, faceless clients in the long run.
That's why you know you'll be working with a writer who'll be responsive, who won't waste your time with dozens of questions, and who strives to make your life easier. It's also why I'll offer discounts for bulk orders or regular work.
